You may be given a suggested diet supplement to help with losing weight, but that is not always the case. There are very few supplements that really help, and they are not for everyone. Though herbs and other supplements promise results, your doctor may not think they are safe for you for a variety of reasons.

Many diet supplements have come and gone, but few have been proven to really help over the years. Some may contain some form of medication, but for the most part it is about your eating habits and how much you exercise.

Using a diet supplement and losing weight is not primarily about making you look like a super model, but that isn't to say you can't still be very happy with the results you see in the mirror.

Your doctor may be seeking an overall reduction of at least ten percent when you commit to losing weight. That amount is enough to improve your health enough to negate some other problems you may have. They may want you to lose more, but that first ten percent is going to have great benefits on your health. If you can get your weight loss up to twenty or even fifty percent, you are going to look and feel absolutely great.
