Conquer Obesity

"Conquer Obesity." Yes. You can.

What a big, bold statement. If only it was as easy as just writing it. Everybody would be trim and healthy.

Talk about a slippery slope! It takes a lot of courage to challenge obesity and win. There are many things you can do to build up your courage.

The first step is to realize and accept that you are, indeed, obese and are harming your health. However, the number one stumbling block to 90% of people who are overweight is that they can't, or won't, take that fist step.

Baby Steps

Maybe if I share some baby steps with you, I can convince you to take that first big step:

  1. Find out how many calories you are eating per day.
  2. Multiply your weight by 7 and that is the number of calories you can eat and lose weight the easy way (a little bit at a time).
  3. To increase your potential weight loss, subtract 500-750 calories from the number you got in #2 above.
  4. Read some material about which fats your body needs, and which fats are slowly shortening your life span.

A word of encouragement: If you can do only the baby steps above you will surprise yourself and discover that you, too, can lose weight on a fairly consistent basis.

If you can follow this formula daily for 30 days, you will begin to take control of the rest of life by reducing your weight and improving your health.

How long did it take you to gain your current weight? Rome wasn't exactly built in a day, was it? So, please don't expect to lose weight and conquer obesity in a fast paced way - this is unhealthy, plus you'll miss the most valuable lesson of all. Changing your eating lifestyle must be forever.
